This is an Interesting Q&A About Weight Loss

How do I convince my girlfriend that she doesn’t need to lose weight?

My girlfriend is about to go on a diet and I’m trying to convince her not to. I know it is her body and her decision what to do with it but she is 5’4 and a UK size 8 (I don’t know what size this is in the USA) and I feel she is fine how she is.

If she gets any skinnyer it could be bad for her health :/ I just need some advice on how to convince her she is ok without sounding bossy or trying to control her.

Thanks

Not sure how old your girlfriend is, but this sounds like a typical low self-esteem issue. Perhaps if you started complimenting her on her looks, she would feel more secure. Of course it would be even better if you tried to explain how she looks to your eyes.

Women tend to be too harsh on themselves…and you doing that would be a great boost for her self-confidence. If that doesn’t work, you two have to have a serious health talk. Just let her know she’s perfectly okay and you are concerned about the effects that diet could have on her.
